5. Microsoft Windows Defender will automatically activate and protect your computer during the deinstallation.
Windows defender is a free antivirus program which provides sufficient protection for your device.

6. Check your antivirus protection with Windows Defender by clicking on "Start - Settings - Update and Security"
Your device is now protected.
Please note: Windows Defender will suggest action needs to be taken under "Virus & threat protection". This is due to "ransomware protection" NOT being activated automatically. It is also not a requirement for sufficient protection. Ransomware protection requires One-Drive to be set up as cloud storage which can only be done with a Microsoft account. If you have a Microsoft account, you have the option to set it up. It is however, not necessary to do so.
