EUSurvey is an open-source software solution funded by the European Commission for creating surveys and questionnaires. A wide variety of form fields can be conveniently created and administered in an online editor. The construction of dependent questions and items is also possible. Within limits, a visual design of the presentation is also possible. EUSurvey also supports the sending of invitations from within the tool and the administration of participants and incoming responses. There are some configuration options there as well.
The technical infrastructure meets the security requirements and data protection and also enables the anonymised processing of personal data in surveys. It does not release the user from the obligation to create a VVT, but it does provide the necessary requirements for a data protection-compliant survey. The user interface is available in 23 official EU languages and use is free of charge.
On the output side, EUSurvey offers various options for exporting the collected data in standard table formats. Further processing in R, SPSS or other tools is thus easily possible. There are also some graphical evaluations for a quick look.
The KIM only refers to the external service, but Team Open Science recommends considering EUSurvey for scientific surveys. The service can be tried out free of charge on the website.
