Funding Open Access

The University of Konstanz offers its members a number of options for funding open access publications. Advice, processing and administration is carried out by the KIM.

Our publication fund can be used to cover the fees for publishing in open access journals (article processing charges) and in open access books (book processing charges). In addition, it is possible to apply for financial support for the publication of anthology or conference papers, research data, or the transformation of subscription journals into open access journals. We also have transformation contracts, for example via Projekt DEAL, enabling us to cover the costs for hybrid open access publishing in journals of participating publishers.
